The Supertech. assesses swimming technique using Velocity + Video technology. We capture underwater video from both lateral and frontal perspectives, and simultaneously, a sensor records 250 speed data points per second. By synchronizing the videos and speed data through our software, we pinpoint speed loss areas and highlight performance-limiting movements. In the end, we provide videos along with a report outlining 4-5 key technical corrections during a roughly 10-15 minute chat.
The Xplode is a test in which the athlete swims attached to a force sensor at maximum intensity for approximately 10 seconds. This allows us to record the athlete’s propulsive force and monitor their behavior at various points during training. This monitoring enables us to comprehend the training effects and guide the upcoming training loads accordingly.
The Saída 37°  captures and quantifies the movements of the dive both in and out of the water. It suggests body positions and motions that enable the athlete to maximize each phase, from the initial push to the break-out. Among other aspects, the objective is to guide the athlete in achieving an angle close to 37 degrees upon entry, a number often observed in the world’s best starts. In the end, a report featuring 2-3 key technical corrections along with underwater and above-water videos are provided.
The name 5-15M refers to the distances commonly used to assess entry (5m) and turn exits (15m) in competitions. This service aims to comprehensively evaluate turns, considering the positions and motions adopted during the approach, rotation, and exit phases. We utilize high-definition cameras to identify limitations and propose solutions, which are discussed in approximately a 10-minute conversation with one of our scientists. Ultimately, the video and a report outlining 3-4 key technical corrections are provided.
Ex.E is a practical session comprising carefully selected drills and immediate technical feedback for participants. We recognize that delivering the content in a didactic and hierarchical manner accelerates the technique learning process. Each session lasts approximately 1 hour per stroke: butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, freestyle, start, and turn – with a maximum of 15 athletes per session.
We are aware that different swimsuits can have varying effects on performance, potentially even influencing the medalists in a final. Therefore, we introduce TYS – Test Your Suit: a testing session lasting approximately 1.5 hours that assess the effects of up to 3 swimsuits (provided by the athlete) on the participant’s swimming technique and body undulation. This session also quantifies their impact on body dimensions (compression).
We record the competition race to quantify the times spent on starts, turns, finishes, and the actual swimming segments. This data facilitates immediate enhancement of technical and tactical decision-making (from heats to finals) as well as medium and long-term planning. Additionally, it allows for comparisons utilizing the continuously updated database generated from each competition.
The Loading monitors the training load administered by the coach, the load perceived by the athlete, their recovery and mood state, and several performance indicators, all interconnected. We send a concise and practical individual report weekly, enabling the coach to determine the optimal path for performance enhancement while minimizing the risk of injuries and/or overtraining.
The MZR Clinics operates dynamically. This implies that you can tailor some of our services to precisely meet the needs of your team during a 1, 2, or 3-day event. Combinations may include: (1) Super Tech. for technical analysis, (2) Saída 37° for start analysis, (3) the 5-15M turn analysis, and/or (4) Ex.E Drills, in addition to one or more lectures from our portfolio.
The Academy Link is a direct communication channel with any of our experts. For approximately 1 hour, you or your team of professionals can clarify doubts, share knowledge, and receive guidance on technique, training, and/or injuries. Our platform offers both in-person and remote options and is available upon request. Get in touch and start your journey!
